There is no better way to unwind from the Christmas excess than by relaxing with a puzzle or puzzle.
Wordle is a popular word game by The New York Timeswhere five letters form a new word every day.
Players have six attempts to solve the word with color-coded clues showing if players are on the right track. A green tile means that the letter is correct and in the correct place. A yellow tile means the letter is correct but in the wrong place. A large tile means that the letter is not in the word at all.
In a move fit for the holiday season, Wordle was created as a gift from Brooklyn software engineer Josh Wardle to his puzzle-loving girlfriend Palek Shah.
It started as a small online game with 91 players in November 2021, but was bought The New York Times in January 2022 for a seven-figure sum when the number of players reached 2 million people. It remains the publication’s most popular puzzle.
One of the reasons Wordle stands out from other games is how simple and accessible it is. Wordle takes just five minutes to play and is a nice break from work or on vacation from relatives.
