Travis Kelce surprised his girlfriend Taylor Swift with a party and a gift that has special meaning for her and some of the lucky young fans who attended. Eras Tour.
The 35-year-old Chiefs chose to celebrate the end of his nearly two-year run on Thursday, December 18 in Kansas City. Guests included Swift’s best friend Ashley Avignon along with Kelce’s quarterback teammate Patrick Mahomes and WAGS bosses Brittany Mahomes and Lyndsay Bell.
The following day, Avignon shared an Instagram story that showed Kelce wearing a top hat and placing a black fedora on his girlfriend’s head. The caption read: “and the last 22 hats go to…”
The link was to Swift’s Eras Tour The tradition of presenting a similar hat to a fan waiting at the end of the stage during her performance of her hit “22” Red album. Videos of the fun night ritual were widely shared on TikTok and other social media platforms during the tour.
Avigone also gave fans more insights on Insta Eras Tour— themed party, including photos of a replica cleaning cart like the one Swift famously used to travel between the dressing room and the stage, as well as shots of partygoers dressed in green raincoats — a nod to the outfit Swift wore while singing her Evermore song “Willow.”
“When she thought she was going to a small, quiet dinner, but it was actually a huge surprise with her friends and family, props included,” Avignon captioned the playful series of shots.
In addition to celebrating the end of Swift’s two billion dollars Era Tour, Kelce also celebrated the artist’s 35th birthday on December 13 by sharing a video of their first official public appearance as a couple in September 2023.
