Tom Brady shared an Instagram story on Thursday, Dec. 26, in which he gushed over his son during a father-son golf outing.
“Love the kid,” the legendary quarterback wrote before suggesting he struggles with golf. “I’m not sure about this game.
Although Brady, 47, did not specify which son he was posing with — as the teenager’s back was turned to the camera — People magazine reported that it was the retired NFL star’s oldest son, 17-year-old Jack, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan. (After splitting from Moynahan in 2006, Brady married supermodel Gisele Bündchen in 2009 and welcomed two more children — son Benjamin, 15, and daughter Vivian, 12.) The former Patriots star and Bündchen, 44, divorced in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.)
In August, Brady paid a special tribute to Jack on social media in honor of his 17th birthday. The athlete added a selfie of them on the golf course along with several pictures of Jack with his siblings. He also praised his son with heartfelt words.
“Happy 17th birthday to the kindest, sweetest, most remarkable 17 year old I know,” Brady wrote. “You are truly a blessing in my life and I am so grateful to see you grow into a young man.
“Your love for family, friends, school, athletics, hard work and dedication to whatever you put your energy into are just a few of your wonderful qualities,” he added.
Despite Brady’s close relationship with Jack, he also opened up about his parenting struggles. In November 2024, Brady spoke at the Fortune Global Forum in New York, where he was candid about his approach.
“We messed up a lot and I screwed up a lot as a parent,” he said. “I don’t want to sound like I’m some kind of parenting expert, because I certainly am not.
Brady also pointed to the April Fool’s episode DeepCut with VicBlends“I think you get better as a parent because you know when you’re a young parent, you don’t really know what you’re doing. You’re flaunting it. You’re trying.”
