The best Taylor Swift gifts for fans over the years

Taylor Swift is no stranger to headlines, and this time she’s grabbing attention for all the right reasons.

The “Bad Blood” singer visited Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri earlier this month to sign copies of her Eras Tour book.

One interaction went viral when one teenager, Naya, complimented Swift’s outfit, calling it “tea,” only for the singer to send her the exact set a few days later.

Naya posted her surprise on TikTok, which included a $4,500 Miu Miu tartan set with a mini skirt and button-up top.

“She’s soooo amazing im soooo blessed I love you Tay Swizzle you’re literally the best,” Naya captioned the video.

The fan also showed a handwritten note that came with the large shopping bags. “When you asked where I got it, I purposely didn’t tell you because I had a plan 🙂 I picked up a few things that I hope you think are tea. Ha… Merry Christmas! Love Taylor,” the singer wrote to the teenager.

“Swiftmas”

In 2015, Swift went on a gift-giving spree during the holiday season, which she called “Swiftmas.”

She gave money to many fans, including $1,989 — the name of one of her albums — to a fan named Rebekah, who wrote that she was worried about paying off her student loans.

That same year, Swift donated proceeds from her song “Welcome to New York” to the city’s schools in honor of making the Big Apple home.

Service dog

Fast forward to 2018, and Swift gave $10,000 to 10-year-old Jacob Reid so he could get a service dog to help him cope with life with autism. She also invited Jacob and his family to one of her concerts in Texas.

A work of art

Norwegian singer and songwriter Marie Ulven Ringheim showed people the gifts she received from Swift. They included two watercolor paintings, one of which was even hand-painted by the singer herself.

Both paintings were emblazoned with Ringheim’s lyrics and a handwritten note at the bottom of one of the daisy flower paintings that read, “Words to Mary, Daisy by Taylor.”

“These beautiful paintings given to me by the one and only Taylor,” Ringheim captioned the video. “These are framed and sacred forever.

COVID relief

Swift invited fans to post their experiences of living through the coronavirus pandemic on the former’s Tumblr blogging site. Those who shared their lives were gifted $3,000 by Swift herself.

One fan said the money was “life-changing”.

“I thought it was fake,” said Samantha Jacobson, one of the recipients Business Insider at that time. “I saw the notification and I probably clicked on her profile picture 15, 20 times to make sure it was her legit profile. I was in shock. I didn’t know what to answer, how to answer, who to call, if I should cry if I he should have screamed, I was absolutely speechless.”

“Tay-lurks”

Swift’s next Christmas gift-giving craze happened in 2015 when she “Tay-stalked” and found out where some fans either lived or worked, then researched what their favorite things were. She then commented on their social media posts with a Santa emoji to let them know to expect a gift in the mail. Billboard.

Home for homeless pregnant women

The “Shake It Off” singer wanted to make sure the pregnant woman, who was also homeless, didn’t have to want for anything as she welcomed her baby.

The woman, Stephanie, thought she had been given backstage passes to one of Swift’s UK shows in 2015, but Swift actually wanted to meet her to give her some good news. She bought Stephanie a house and everything she needed for her baby.

“After the show, Taylor took us back to her dressing room where she said, ‘Stephanie, you’ve been in my life for a long time and you’ve never asked me for anything. You could have reached out and I would have helped you. [Your] my mom told me,” Stephanie said Billboard.

“She told me she wanted to give me a refund for the plane ticket that night. She actually helped us buy a house and everything I needed for my baby. She said, ‘I want you to be able to enjoy my baby girl, you don’t have to worry about all these things. “

A donation of $30,000

Swift donated about $30,000 to a GoFundMe for a European fan to study math in college.

“Vitorio, I came across your story online and am so inspired by your drive and determination to make your dreams come true,” Swift wrote on the fundraising page in 2020. “I want to donate the rest of your goal. Good luck with everything you do love Taylor.”

These acts of generosity are just a few of the many examples of how Swift spoils her fans. He also regularly makes significant donations to charities and to relief efforts after major disasters.
