We’re on the eve of the first release of the Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion, with Mythical Island set to release tomorrow — or tonight, depending on your time zone. The Mythical Island Limited Expansion adds over 80 new cards to the game, with some fantastic new cards already in preview.
Most interestingly, we know that the expansion includes at least three Mythical Pokemon, including the new ex card Mew, Celebi and Marshadow, and probably more. With these new cards, there are sure to be dozens of new packs, and more importantly, plenty of things to collect through random packs in the game.

But when exactly can you start collecting these new cards? Well, luckily we are not far away and we have all the information about when the Mythical Island expansion will be released in Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Mythical Island expansion release times
The Mythical Island expansion will be released in Pokemon TCG Pocket at 1:00 AM EST on December 17th, 2024. That means it will be released on December 17th for most of the world, but in PST that means it will be late. on December 16.
Here is the time that is in your time zone:
- PST – 10:00 PM (Monday, December 16)
- CST (US) – 12:00 midnight
- EST – 1:00 a.m
- BRT – 3:00 am
- GMT – 6:00 AM
- CET – 7:00 a.m
- IST – 11:30 AM
- CST (China) – 2:00 p.m
- JST/KST – 3:00 p.m
- AEDT – 5pm
- NZDT – 7pm
Once in the game – which will happen during the game’s daily update – players will be able to draw cards from the Mythical Island pack, which unlike the Genetic Apex pack, seemingly only contains one type of booster pack. New missions, themed collections, card rewards and icons are also likely to be added in addition to the cards.
