Patrick Mahomes’ grandfather is not doing well, and the three-time Super Bowl champion’s mother, Randi, is asking fans for help.

Randi shared a health update on her father Randy, Patrick’s grandfather, on Instagram on Friday, December 27. The post features a photo of the Chiefs superstar quarterback, his daughter Sterling Skye and his grandfather. Randi captioned the post, “Please pray for my dad.”

This is the second time this year that Randi has asked NFL fans for prayers. Her father was receiving medical attention in September, where she made a similar post, watching the Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers with him in his hospital room. She also lost her mother, Debbie, in February.

As Randi deals with her dad’s deteriorating health, she also prepares to become a grandmother of three. Patrick and his wife Brittany are expecting a baby in 2025.

At this time, Patrick has yet to comment on his grandfather’s condition. He led the Chiefs to a 29-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day, a victory that earned the Chiefs the No. 1 seed for the 2024-2025 NFL playoffs.
