Overwatch 2 extends its updates to celebrate the holidays. After introducing cooperation with One Punch Man and My Hero Academiawhich the multiplayer shooter now works with Avatar: The Last Airbender.

From December 17th to December 30th, players can unlock and equip skins inspired by characters from Avatar. Six skins transform existing heroes along with unlockable themed sprays, voice lines and player icons.
Here they are all Overwatch 2 x Avatar skins:
- Mei as Katara – Unlocked after completing challenges
- Zenyatta as Aang
- Orisa as Appa
- Venture as Toph
- Genji as Zuko
- Kiriko as Suki
Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland 6v6 game mode
The winter wonderland is back Overwatch 2and brings a cheerful atmosphere to its arenas. This update contains many rewards, starting with simple login rewards for every day you open the game.
Blizzard is also bringing back the original 6v6 mode where teams can deploy a 2-2-2 formation to change the pace of the match. Since there are a lot of changes in this update, you’ll want to take a look at the Overwatch 2 6v6 Experiment patch notes. Additionally, the Winter Wonderland update will include Mei’s Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, and Freeze Flash Elimination.
Starting December 19, you can also unlock three skins for free by completing specific challenges:
- Merry Marionette Echo – play 3 matches
- Cassidy’s Legendary Winter Skin – play 6 matches
- Legendary Window Maker Skin – Play 9 matches
Overwatch 2 The Role Queue Experiment will run until January 6, 2025. Of course, this is a live service game, there is also a seasonal premium bundle called the Happy Holly Mercy bundle that you can pick up in the store.
If you enjoy watching your favorite streamers while playing the game, you can earn rewards by doing the same through the new Twitch drops event. You will need to watch at least fifteen hours of live streaming gameplay from a Drops enabled streamer. Just make sure you’ve linked your Battle.net account to Twitch.
