Last season Stranger Things reportedly finished filming, and after eight years of playing one of the main characters, Millie Bobby Brown had to say goodbye to the cast and crew she had worked with since she was a child.
Brown was just 11 years old when she was cast as Eleven on the series, which premiered in July 2016. As filming for the final season came to a close, the now 20-year-old actress recently shared a series of photos ending with a video of a speech she gave to her peers and production crew while wrapping up the fifth and final season Stranger Things.
In a post the star shared on Instagram on Friday, December 20, Brown is seen in a grayscale video. “Isn’t graduation supposed to bring relief, like leaving your teachers and classmates behind?” Brown asked in the video as her voice began to crack. “I’m not. I’m nowhere near ready to leave you,” she continued, breaking into tears as she added, “I love each and every one of you, and I’ll always cherish the memories and bonds we’ve made together.” like family.” Brown wrote in the caption, “with love, el”.
Fans of the show took to the comment section of the post to share their support for the beloved actress they watched growing up on the show.
“That’s a wrap love. I’m proud of you and happy to watch you grow,” wrote one fan. Another said: “So proud of how far you’ve come and can’t wait to see this new season! Despite filming wrapping up, no official release date has been set yet. Stranger Things fans are eagerly awaiting the final season since the fourth season will be released in May 2022.
