Many famous people whose parents are in Hollywood have been accused of nepotism over the years, and many others have spoken out about the challenges they faced despite being born into privilege, including Ireland Baldwin, Kendall Jenner, Lily Collins and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Lily-Rose Depp, 25, is enjoying renewed attention thanks to the holiday release of her latest film, Nosferatuformer adult film star Khalifa has spoken out in defense of the film star.

Khalifa, formerly of Twitter, a model and social media personality who frequently covers movies, TV shows and current affairs, took to X, previously writing: “The Lily Rose Depp hate is so forced you’re all just jealous she’s timeless and modern .”

A number of other X users agreed with Khalifa’s comment, with one writing: “Lily-Rose Depp is hated because she embodies a casual mix of old-school glamor and modern style that people either love or hate.

“It’s not her fault she acts like she belongs in every era at once. Timeless and trendy is a rare combination, and yes, jealousy fuels the fire.”

“She has a unique look and a lot of acting and screen presence – I’ve become a fan,” said one X user, while another comment read: “She’s an icon since birth, it’s embarrassing to hate her.”

In his 2022 interview with ElleLily-Rose Depp said of growing up with famous parents: “The internet seems to be very interested in that sort of thing. People will have preconceived notions about you or how you got there, and I can definitely say that you get the part, except you’re right for the part.

“The internet cares a lot more about who your family is than the people who cast you in things,” she continued. “You might get your foot in the door, but you still only have your foot in the door. Then there’s a lot of work to do.”

“It’s weird to me to reduce someone to the idea that they’re only there because it’s a generational thing,” she added. “It just doesn’t make sense.

“If somebody’s mom or dad is a doctor, and then the kid becomes a doctor, you’re not going to be like, ‘Well, you’re a doctor because your parent is a doctor.’ It’s like, ‘No, I went to medical school and trained.'”

“One by one, scores of celebrity offspring have come forward to play down the positive impact their connection has had on their own entertainment careers,” she wrote. “I was particularly infuriated when Lily-Rose Depp (who, it should be noted, I am a fan) suggested that it was misogynistic to be labeled a ‘non-baby’ when she is undoubtedly the child of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. why the proverbial door opened for her.

“Growing up without a father, I sat on the sidelines and watched in frustration as other celebrity children landed roles or were signed to major agencies without a problem,” she continued. “Lately I’m even more frustrated with what I think is a missed opportunity for these so-called ‘nepo babies’ to own their position and embrace it instead of complaining about it.”
