Kevin Bacon and his family are glad Christmas is over — and they sing about it.
On Thursday, Dec. 26, the 66-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a video of him and his family playing John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over),” but with a twist. — they changed the text to be about Christmas. The Relaxed The star’s wife Kyra Sedgwick, who he has been married to since 1988, and their two children, Travis Bacon, 35, and Sosie Bacon, 32, all starred in the cheeky video.
The Golden Globe winner began the song by singing, “Christmas is over. Not a moment too soon. We don’t have to listen now. No more Christmas tunes,” he strummed his guitar.
Sosie then took center stage, singing about how beloved Christmas characters like Frosty and Rudolph were finalized for the season.
The camera panned to Travis, who, like his father, was playing the guitar. “We can all stop listening to the little drum boys. We can all stop shining. Let’s clear the halls,” he sang.
Sedgwick then took a moment to sing, “Yes. Christmas is over. It’s not white anymore. It’ll start the torture again.”
The whole family gathered for the last movement, harmonizing, “On Thanksgiving Day.”
The Crazy, stupid, love the actor captioned his post: “HAPPY BOXING DAY!”
