Kangana Ranaut as Jaya makes a proud comeback as a national-degree kabaddi player in this inspirational kabaddi film. she is all set to show a kabaddi player for her next film, titled Panga. Kangana said that she was completely inspired and moved from the scripted story of this movie.
The experimental actress after a whopping success of Manikarnika is geared up to portray the function of a countrywide degree Kabaddi participant in her upcoming movie “Panga”.

Filming took place from November 2018 to July 2019 in Panaji, Bhopal, Delhi, and Kolkata. The film is going to theatrically release in India on 24 January 2020.

“ When Ashwiny narrated the film’s story, I was completely moved My family has been my pillar of strength and has always stood by me in thick and thin. I could relate to the emotions of the film. Plus, Ashwiny is known for her slice-of-life films and I loved her recent work Bareilly Ki Barfi. Panga is doubly special for me as for the first time, I will play the role of a national-level kabaddi player. That’s going to be challenging for sure! I am looking forward to some exciting times with Ashwiny and the Fox Star team”

The actors appearing in the film as kabbadi players including Ranaut underwent training in kabaddi for over two months regularly for two hours from a trainer named Gauri. She rigorously trained Kangana during different Kabaddi practice sessions. Kangana never missed a session and was punctual throughout. Although Gauri feared about how Kangana would fare with real players but she found her hardworking and appreciated her effort by saying
“She asked me to teach her the basic moves on our first meeting itself. I was shocked as I teach young girls and even they take almost six months to reach that level of training. Kangana picked up the dodging techniques just by observing it a couple of times. I was awestruck.”

“You need a lot of stamina in Kabaddi, just like wrestling, so I stuck to a wholesome diet that included carbohydrates, fat, raw vegetables, and juices. I had to gain a lot of weight in my legs to look authentic as a raider (player who attacks from the opposing team), but I had to change it for the part where I am shown as a retired player.”
