Some may know that Jeff Bezos has an extensive real estate portfolio across the country, including properties in Hawaii, New York, Florida, and California. What you may not know, however, is that the Amazon chairman rents Kenny G’s mansion in Malibu for the better part of the year for an outrageous price.

Bezos, 60, and his fiancee, Lauren Sánchez, called the beachfront property their temporary home while they waited for the completion of their Beverly Hills mega-mansion.

Report from New York Post in 2023 he detailed the project in an article stating that work on the villa had stopped after an extension application was rejected for the second time that year, following a rejection in 2021.

According to a report from TMZ published on May 31, the Amazon founder has been renting a property from jazz saxophonist (real name Kenneth Bruce Gorelick) for $600,000 a month since March. The store also said that the price does not include furniture, as the billionaire chose to provide his own.

TMZ also reported that the completion of the couple’s mega-home in Beverly Hills remains uncertain, with calculations suggesting that Bezos would spend more than $7 million a year on the lease.

Meanwhile, Kenny G is making headlines after his ex-wife Belinda “Lyndie” Benson accused the musician of profiting from the estate while trying to reduce his spousal support. TMZ also reports that Benson, 58, claimed she didn’t know her ex had moved out so Bezos could move in and “thinks he’s renting it to keep the money out of her hands.”

The two have been locked in an ongoing legal battle for years since their 2012 divorce after 20 years of marriage, with the Malibu estate a big part of the dispute. The couple decided against selling at one point, but the outlet reports that Benson thinks it’s time to sell so that she can cut herself.
