Taylor Swift fans have always been quick to pick up on subtle hints and Easter eggs in her music and videos.

In a behind-the-scenes video from the “Bejeweled” music shoot posted to YouTube on Swift’s 35th birthday, Friday, Dec. 13, the pop star — intentionally or not — offered Swifties another look at her past relationship with Joe Alwyn.

Although Swift and Alwyn, 33, split in April 2023 after six years together, it seems the memories of their time as a couple still linger. In the footage, which was released nearly two years after the music video’s debut, Swift is seen directing the actor while holding her phone. As she pointed, the phone’s screen lit up to reveal the wallpaper: a picture of her resting her head on Alwyn’s shoulder as he held her lovingly.

This picture, which was taken months before their split, quickly caught the attention of fans and many seemed to be reeling from the couple’s split.

“Her wallpaper with her and Joe 🥺,” one fan commented on the video, while another replied: “TAYLOR’S PHONE SCREEN OMG.” A third wrote emotionally: “Taylor’s phone wallpaper with Joe Alwyn😭💔.”

Following her relationship with Alwyn Swift in September 2023, she sparked dating rumors with Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs. The couple has since shot to superstardom, and their high-profile relationship has quickly become a hot topic in both the sports and entertainment worlds.

They’ve been spotted supporting each other over the past year, with Kelce, 35, visiting several of Swift’s Eras Tours (even on stage at one o’clock) and Swift returned the favor, cheering him on at many of his Chiefs games. On a more serious note, the pair also spent Thanksgiving together this year and met their families. Many fans are wondering if Kelce plans to get down on one knee in the near future.

While Swift hasn’t publicly addressed her split with Alwyn — other than her music — Alwyn has said The Sunday Times in June that it was difficult to cope with the end of such a long relationship while the public watched from afar. “I hope that anyone and everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving and fully committed relationship of over six and a half years,” he told the outlet.
