Beyoncé has had an incredible year — since dropping her country album Cowboy Carterlaunches Sir Davis whiskey and has a voice role Mufasa: The Lion King. And this Christmas, the Beyhive is giving a special gift.
On Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 25, Beyoncé will perform the halftime show during the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens. The performance will be a game-changer for both Queen Bey and the NFL, as this year marks the first of many planned Netflix Christmas Gameday Live football games.
Fans can stream the show live on Netflix. The Texans vs. Ravens game is the second of two NFL games scheduled for Christmas Day (the first being the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. ET). The Texans VS. The Ravens game will begin at 4:30 PM ET.
Residents of Houston and Baltimore without a Netflix subscription will watch the game on television in their cities. Additionally, NFL+ subscribers will be able to watch the game and halftime performance from their mobile devices and smart TVs.
The Texans vs Ravens game will be played at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas – Beyoncé’s hometown. According to a Netflix press release, the halftime show will mark the first live performances of songs from Cowboy Carter album. Bey remained tight-lipped about what to expect from the show, however, Netflix also teases that some of the collaborators on Cowboy Carter album will join the Grammy winner on stage.
The performance comes more than a month after Mike Tyson’s fight against Jake Paul, which was also broadcast live on Netflix. This particular broadcast suffered quite a few technical issues, however, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, assured fans that they had nothing to worry about.
“Everything will be fine,” Tina said TMZ last month. “God will be there.
