Anime is seasonal, which means that every few months anime studios start releasing new seasons of anime. Some of them are brand new releases, new series and new seasons to old series – and of course there are ongoing series that run almost always. One Piece, for example, usually runs throughout the year, with only a few breaks here and there, although new episodes are currently on hiatus.
