In Connections, players are challenged to group 16 words into four categories based on their relationships. Each group is color-coded to indicate difficulty: yellow for the easiest, followed by green, blue and purple for the more challenging sets. The puzzles often contain homophones, puns, and other clever twists, ensuring that they are rarely straightforward. If players get stuck, they can use the button to shuffle the words on the screen.
