Carey Hart has revealed the secret to his strong marriage with Pink, as the pro racer has been married to the pop star since 2006.
In a new interview with My WeeklyHart, 49, provided insight into the dynamics of their relationship. “I’m on the 19-year mark, so I’m still being called an idiot,” he said. “I’m looking forward to 35 and I’m not an idiot anymore.”
He then shared what allows him and Pink, 45, to maintain a healthy marriage. “I guess it’s communication, having teammates [and] talk about bad situations,” Hart added. “Marriage is not easy and it always comes back to the table.”
But it wasn’t always easy for Hart and Pink (real name Alecia Moore). Although the two first met in 2001 and married in 2006, they split between 2008 and 2010. The pop star famously penned her 2008 hit song “So What” about their split.
“Everything is a competition, especially with me,” Hart said in his new interview. “We are highly, highly competitive people.
After reconciling, the couple welcomed daughter Willow in 2011 and son Jameson in 2016. Pink recently brought both children along for a special performance. Seven-year-old Jameson joined her on stage at her November 2024 show in Orlando, playing drums. And Willow, 13, accompanied her mom for a sweet duet at the DNC.
“Willz will carry on this tour how she has evolved as an artist, a singer and what life will bring her on stage,” Hart shared on Instagram before expressing Pink Pink for completing the massive tour. “You’ve handled injury, fatigue, homesickness, illness, motherhood and every other variety you can imagine. I couldn’t be more proud of you. That’s a wrap.”
As for Hart, he is expected to appear in the third season of the competition series Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test.
