Wicked: Part Two has a new title and confirmed a release date, but one of the stars revealed that she hasn’t seen the movie yet.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ariana Grande, who plays Glinda, was asked why Wicked: For Good was the perfect title for the second part of the film, to which she replied, “Because we’ve been changed forever. It’s going to be different.”
The interviewer asked, “Will it look different?” to which Grande responded, “A little bit. Yeah. I haven’t seen it yet, but I know what it was like to experience it, and I’m still recovering.”
Part one and two Evil were shot in tandem, so it’s likely that director Jon M. Chu is currently busy in post-production with Oscar-nominated editor Myron Kerstein, meaning the film would not yet be complete or ready to be seen by its cast and crew.
Wicked: For Good is set to hit theaters on November 21, 2025, a year after its release Evilwhich captured the hearts of viewers around the world.
Based on the Broadway musical of the same name Evil serves as a prequel to L. Frank Baum’s film The Wizard of Oz.
It delves into the life and times of the one we know in pop culture as “The Wicked Witch” and takes us through Elphaba’s young adulthood where she crosses paths with Glinda at university.
